About the Item

The Court Screen is a modern metal fireplace screen cover that can be used flush fitted into the fireplace opening or can stand right outside a fireplace opening. It protects from sparks and minimizes damage to stone around your fireplace. The design is a mix between modern and industrial design, crafted from durable steel and finished with hand blackened process. Combine it with other fire place accessories for an interesting, eye catching, but sublet fire place area. *Customizable to most dimensions *Three finishes available Hand Blackened Steel, Black High Heat Paint or Black Powder Coated Price start at $1,498 PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING *Recommended for interior use only-Please make sure you understand the material and finish needed. *Weight ranges from 30-60lbs or more depending on the size ordered. *Fabrication Lead time 4-8 weeks Materials: Mild steel, steel mesh Dimensions: Any Size (Usually Ships via UPS with a transit time 5-7 Days) OR (International Shipment via DHL) Care & Maintenance for Blackened Steel Blackened steel products are sealed with oil and wax to help protect the finish, but which require periodic maintenance. These are “living” finishes that allow the metals to age naturally and develop patina through time and use. Blackened steel pieces exposed to moisture, especially in marine environments, will rust. Condensation from hot and cold changes will leave rust on blackened steel surfaces, thus we recommend protecting the finish by keeping dry and not using a wet cloth to clean. For light cleaning, Blackened Steel items can be wiped with a slightly damp rag, then buffed immediately with a dry cloth. A very mild cleanser such as diluted Dawn dishwashing liquid can be used, but never use aggressive household cleaners including bleach or ammonia. To refresh the original luster, a light application of a carnauba paste wax such as Trewax can be applied approximately every six months, frequency depending on environment and level of use. To repair minor corrosion or surface rust, we recommend rubbing the affected area lightly with very fine Scotch Brite, and resealing with a lightly buffed coating of carnauba paste wax. Use caution, as Scotch Brite or other abrasives may scratch or remove some of the blackened patina under the wax if used too aggressively.
