Beautiful and cute, vintage Murano hand blown black and orange with gold flecks accents Italian art glass clown sculpture and bowl. Attributed to designer Alfredo Barbini, for the Salviati company. The figure has a green hat with gold, pink hair, clear head with large eyes and exited facial expressions. The arms are in clear glass with Sommerso gold leaf and yellow gloves on the hands. The body is the actual bowl with black outside and orange inside. The clown stands on oversized white and gold leaf shoes with large black soles. Would make a great display piece on any desk, coffee table or credenza. It can be displayed 2 ways. Fill it with candy when laying down or display it as a sculpture standing up. Mid-century era.
