Striking Organic Modern bowl was hand blown with fluid, folded edge. The colored yellow, mottled blue, and mocha brown glass inclusions were placed in abstract, graphic pattern on amber and yellow background, with the whole structure enclosed in clear glass in sommerso technique. Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso sapphire blue to clear Italian art glass fish on base sculpture. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1950s. Published in his book (see photo), model 6180, and a later model number 6913 is in the same shape. The fish has little blue murine eyes, with white Latticino ribbons on the fins and tail. It is balanced on a clear glass base. Would make a great display piece on any dresser, coffee table, or display cabinet. Mid-century era.
