Mid-Century Modern Hand Blown Cardinal Murano Glass Vase
About the Item
This beautiful modernist vase was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production- during the latter half of the 20th century. It features a cylindrical volumetric rectangular body with rounded edges. The interior of the piece is infused with opaque cardinal red Murano glass while the exterior is blown in translucent glass, creating a stunning juxtaposition. With its refined color palate, striking geometric form, and clean modernist lines, this piece is as much a functional vase- ideal for presenting flowers- as an objet d'art in its own right. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It is in excellent vintage condition.
