Marble Vase Decorative Sculpture White Arabescato Marble Handmade Italy
Marble Vase Decorative Sculpture White Arabescato Marble Handmade Italy

Marble Vase Decorative Sculpture White Arabescato Marble Handmade Italy

By Pieruga Marble, Barberini & Gunnell

Located in Ancona, Marche

Important sculptural vase carved by hand from a solid block of Arabescato marble. Vase dimension: D 52 x H 45 cm. Available in different marble, onyx and quartzite. Limited edition of 35. Each vase is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved), 100% handmade in Italy and comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”. Marble is a natural material, every piece is unique as each marble block is different in veins and color shades. All of our creations are handmade by Italian artisans and can slightly vary in shape and size. This is to be considered as a guarantee of a handmade object. All Pieruga objects are made of precious and natural marbles and onyx. Marble is sensitive to acid-based liquids, especially a prolonged contact with substances such as wine, lemon, vinegar, fruit juices, cola and alcohol can stain the surface. Cleaning should be carried out with a soft sponge, water and neutral detergent. Do not use metallic or abrasive sponges, do not wash in the dishwasher, do not use in the microwave. The color of the marble after washing can undergo variations due to the humidity trapped in the surface’s micro-pores. Once fully dried it will regain its original color. The brass inlays tend to oxidize over time, to make them return to shine again use a soft cotton pad soaked in a solution of water and traditional Marseille soap, gently rub over the brass inserts and rinse the surface thoroughly. We are against the use of chemical products, all Pieruga objects are processed and polished through long manual processes without the use of polishing liquids. Pieruga proudly creates elegant accessories and complements in marble through artisanal processes, bringing into dialogue ancient techniques of sculpture with advanced technologies. 100% handmade in Italy. Our Mission is a clear Signal of opposition to the enormous waste that occurs in the extraction and processing of large blocks of marble, tons of material are discarded and thrown, in disfigurement to the generosity of our mountains. Rediscovering the ancient art of manual sculpture we give new life to even the smallest fragment of marble, bringing to light its millenary beauty that is lost in more than 2000 years of architecture and sculpture. Pieruga Marble...

Set of Three Caryatid Planters Attributed to G. Servant, France, Circa 1880

By Georges Emile Henri Servant

Located in PARIS, FR

Measures : Tallest caryatid : Height 225 cm (88.6 in.) ; width 65 cm (25.6 in.) ; depth : 40 cm (15,7 in.) Two smaller caryatids : Height 183 cm (72 in.) ; width 55 cm (21.6 in.) ; depth : 21 cm (8,3 in.) An outstanding set of three monumental black marble and bronze caryatid planters in the Greek style attributed to G. Servant. All three are caryatid terms on pedestal: the tallest one is shaped as a Grecian woman with her antique drapery and gilt bronze ornaments, such as belt, necklace, headband and garlands, surmounted by an Ionic capital supporting a large planter adorned with foliage pattern and a vase in patinated and gilt bronze. Two smaller planters complete the set, using the same ornamental patterns: the Grecian head...
