A Very Rare Pair of Silver Tefillin Covers made by Bezalel in Jerusalem, Circa 1925. The Acid-etched technique with which these tefillin covers were made accompanied by the classic Bezalel design is truly remarkable. Probably 1 or 2 of these tefillin covers were ever made by Bezalel in this fashion in the early 20th Century. Featured on the outside of the four sides of the tefillin covers are beautiful chased motifs of grape clusters on hanging vines, pomegranates growing on trees, palm trees with hanging date clusters, and fig bushes with figs sprouting from their branches.
