This item is an antique / vintage silver-plated and cut-crystal epergne, a highly decorative table centerpiece traditionally used for displaying fruits, sweetmeats, or flowers.Key DetailsDesign & Structure: It features an ornate, Rococo-style silvered base supporting a large center bowl and four extending serpentine arms that hold smaller matching dishes.Origin: These pieces are typically of 19th-century English origin, often crafted in the style of Sheffield Silver Plate.Crystal: The glassware consists of hand-cut or lead crystal bowls boasting a brilliant geometric starburst .There is evidence of an old repair at the base of one of the arms, visible as a darker area in the finish.
