A highly whimsical & amusing wall mounted diorama, featuring a mixed media three-dimensional interior depicting figures in a forested landscape who have happened upon a cache of lost parts belonging to the famous Canadian military aircraft ‘The Avro Arrow’. The scene is described by the artists hand in script, as observed on the outer front edge of the case which reads....“While deep in the woods on a fishing trip, Dave & Sydney stumble upon the lost cache of Avro Arrow parts”. Signed & dated 1992, and signed & dated again on the reverse. The multi-tiered case measuring 16” wide x 11.75” high x 7” deep. Terry Pfliger (1947-2016) was an American born and highly accomplished professional artist & educator. He taught visual arts at Loyalist College & Vocational Institute in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, before accepting the position as head of the art department at St. Lawrence College also in Kingston Ontario, which he held from 1973-95. Afterwards he moved to Michigan where he taught art at Southwestern Michigan College and was elected Professor Emeritus. He exhibited for several years in both solo & group exhibitions in Ontario Canada, and in Michigan, USA.
