Exceptional Gaston Poisson & Robert Pansart Cabinet Lacquered Mahogany, Art Deco
Located in Paris, France
This splendid and rare large furniture piece includes three doors with engraved signed keys from the artist Gaston Poisson, “GP”. This circa 1937 cabinet is made of green lacquered* mahogany and contains 12 interior shelves (three doors each with 4 shelves), each shelf featuring beautiful marquetry detail. The centerpiece of this beautiful cabinet is the large exterior mirror by Robert Pansart. This is made of "églomisé" glass with a polychrome geometric ribbon-like decor. Églomisé glass is a technique used often for mirrors that creates intricate decoration using golden leaves and silver. *THE LACQUER IS NOT ORIGINAL, THE CABINET HAS BEEN REFINISHED LATE 20 CENTURY Gaston Poisson, a cabinetmaker from Lille, France, is a renowned Renaissance designer best known for his modernist work. He has a unique taste for pure clean lines, mostly from the 1950s-1960s, which is exemplified in this particular piece. The square and diagonal motifs visible on the facade of the cabinet as well as the ornate marquetry on the interior shelves show that this piece was highly specialized, a well thought out piece made with incredible care. Robert Pansart is a French glassmaker and decorator who specialized in his unique technique of etching and oxidizing with “églomisé” glass. One of the most highly regarded glassmakers of his time, he mainly worked from post war years to the 1960s, and his work is reminiscent of a world based on fairy tales – evocative of the 1940s-1950s taste. His mirrors tend to appear in the antique art market and are valued as highly collectible pieces. Pansart mirrors were auctioned at very high prices at auctions at Artcurial and other major auction houses (see the last picture) Different works of the artist: Berliz Cinema in Paris Municipal Theater of Poitiers (see last picture) Theater of the Paquebot France

Crinkle Crankle Table by Dirk Meylaerts
Located in Geneve, CH
Crinkle Crankle Table by Dirk Meylaerts Dimensions: W 85 x D 210 x H 74 cm Materials: Pearwood. To efficiently generate a volume using a minimal amount of material, I employ the concept akin to the British “crinkle crankle” wall technique, in which a single layer of bricks sustains their stability. In my approach, I employ small boards that, when combined, form a sturdy and functional trestle or tripod. Biography: After a short career as an actor and dancer in Jan Fabre’s theatre piece The Power of Theatrical Madness, he decided to pursue a career in furniture making. He studied cabinetmaking at Les Arts et Metiers in Brussels and trained under master cabinet maker Ralf Hillenbrand, who taught him all the technical aspects of the craft. After three years, he began working as an independent cabinet maker and designer, a career that spanned 25 years. In 2003, he organized several auction sales of prototypes by fellow designers, in collaboration with the auction house Pierre Bergé in Brussels. In 2006, he founded D&A Lab, a company that produced limited series of functional design objects, conceived by contemporary artists such as Jonathan Monk, Pierre Bismuth, Ann Veronica Janssens...

JO Desk by DUVALD Contemporary Desk Handcrafted in Denmark. Hardwood, steel
Located in Gentofte, DK
The desk explores tactility in a working environment. Modern work life is digital and rather one-dimensional and abstract in the sense of the small space this occupies. JO desk is about perceptions of materiality and construction and encourages engagement and the feeling of physical things. The table explores the contrast between warm and cold materials, as well as soft and hard edges. The beautiful warm hardwood tabletop rests on top of the cold tubular steel frame, and they melt together in a balance between function and aesthetics. A floating box...
