Lovely set composed of six wooden chairs designed in the 50's, of fine Italian manufacture. The structure of the chairs is linear, with four supporting legs, with a pointed shape, while the back is straight with a slightly curved cut of the wood. The chairs are entirely made of light wood in the frame, while dark green leather in the seat. The seat and back are connected: in fact, the leather upholstery rises from the seat to the middle of the back, giving a unique touch to the seat. The leather is fixed to the structure by means of round brass studs in patina, typically vintage. Another peculiarity of the chair is the shape of the top of the backrest, which sees the woodwork at the two ends create two soft indentations, while the middle part goes down more, creating a beautiful ornament. The shape of the chair seat is also peculiar, as towards the outside it becomes more pointed and the wood also tapers, while going towards the center of the seat the wood is thicker and strengthened. The “Repose” contemporary stool belongs to a collection that revisit the director chair collection, serene pieces where exclusivity and precision are shown in small details such as the hand-turned metal nuts and bolts that fix the leather surfaces, that go unnoticed at first sight. The robustness of the steel structure is combined with the delicacy of the rounded structure. The matte metal finishes evoke the passage of time and are complemented by vegetable tanned cowhide leathers that age gracefully with its use. The “Repose” armchair is designed and conceived as a tribute to director’s chair or luxury safari foldable furniture. All pieces are done with cold steel rods, machined on a turning lathe, black powder coated and lacquered with a matt rubber effect. Our signature screws are made with brass turning lathed, polished, and lacquered, these are the pieces that fix the saddle leather to the metal frame. Leathers are Spanish hides vegetable tanned. We use premium saddles in five colors to adjust to your taste and interior needs. This traditional vegetable dyeing and tanning method is an organic technique that relies on natural tannings from bark or plant tissues. The use of oils and natural fats give the leather a distinctive flexibility and texture, allowing it to be molded, retain its shape and age graciously. All skins are carefully selected from food industry sub-products, with a minimum thickness of 3.5 mm / 0,02 in, using the part of the animal's shoulder, which allows for larger pieces and uniformity, even though signature wrinkle from the animal’s neck may be recognizable. The vegetable tanning is a traditional and artisan treatment, which is respectful to the environment. Even with careful selection natural marks as a result of the contact with other animals, the age, origin and characteristics of the skin, or even the season in which the tanning takes place cannot be avoided. We still believe that these factors only add authenticity and uniqueness to every piece. Our leather parts are made with double saddles, always showing the top side of the hides that presents the better quality. Customization options.
