In regards to the creator, Jorge Zalszupin (1 June 1922 – 17 August 2020) was a Polish-born Brazilian architect and designer, who founded L’Atelier, in São Paulo. He began in the 1950s decade with craftwork and soon after, to the production in series.
Jorge Zalszupin a native of Warsaw, Poland, studied architecture at Bucharest’s Ecole des Beaux Arts. While working as an architect in Paris, he found inspiration in articles about Brazilians Oscar Niemeyer and Roberto Burle Marx and immigrated to Brazil.
His work as an architect created a demand for decoration and furniture proposals that suited the style of his projects and, for many years, Zalszupin designed and executed them for his clients. The demand was as great as the desire to grow and expand his business, and he then decided to found Atelier Móveis in November 1959.
A significant part of Zalszupin's furniture production is tributary to his architecture. He used new design language and tendencies, while maintaining a functional view of Ambience for internal spaces. L’Atelier was a design collective of architects, engineers, craftsmen, and a full-scale team of professionals that did everything from researching materials to finalizing the product.

Steelcase was founded as the Metal Office Furniture Company in 1912 by Peter M. Wege in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Metal Office Furniture Company's first products included fireproof metal safes and four-drawer filing cabinets which Wege invented and manufactured for the Macey Company. In 1914, the company received its first product patent for "The Victor," a fireproof steel wastebasket. The Victor gained popularity due to its light weight achieved through a patented process of bending flat steel at right angles to create boxes, and its ability to prevent fires at a time when smoking was common indoors, particularly in the workplace. In 1915, the company began manufacturing and distributing steel desks and in 1937, the company collaborated with Frank Lloyd Wright on office furniture. The partnership lasted two years and resulted in some of the first modern workstations. The company officially changed its name to Steelcase, Inc. in 1954 and became known as the leader of the furniture industry in the late 1960s due to the volume of its sales and in 1973, the company debuted the Series 9000 furniture line. These truly are a very rare suite, it's hard to find one of these chairs from this era let alone four, they have all been restored to include having the leather washed back, they’ve then been hand dyed six times, lightly antiqued, sealed then finally waxed down and polished. They are the only suite in the entire world in this exact colour and look a million dollars.
They are also super comfortable hence they have stood the test of time and become a true icon. These have countless credits to their name, they have been exhibition in the metropolitan museum of art, the V&A, they have won awards, anyone who is a fine furniture connoisseur will recognize them straight away
Condition wise, they have been restored as mentioned, the idea being to keep all the original patina which shows the age and wear, but giving them a one off colour
