Rurak’s evocative, one-of-a-kind works are the type of collectible pieces built to span generations. Each work conveys movement, action, and intuition. Rurak’s process stems from a diverse range of media, ranging from things as conventional as drawing and painting to performance art. Functional and sculptural, each column serves as a dimensional abstract expressionist painting. A combination of paint and pigmented concrete, creates a dynamic impasto, populated by incised and gilded etchings.
