This is a pair of Mid-Century Modern "pretzel" chairs designed by Norman Cherner in the 1950's and produced by Plycraft.

Signed with decal manufacturer's label to underside of each example: [The Cherner Chair Company Westport, CT USA Sole Licensor of Norman Cherner Designs 21291].

Most likely originally made by Plycraft, these newly refinished chairs were at sometime over the years switched from wooden legs to metal bases. Original leather is in good condition.
