These rugs are also named Pirot or Sarkoy / Sharkoy Kilim. The production area is located at the route from central Europe to the Orient via Istanbul.

Known for their vertical looms and playful designs and geometric patterns, antique Pirot flat-weave kilims have become a much sought-after commodity today.
