Corinna Modigliani Art
Corinna Modigliani was born in 1871 in Rome, Italy. In 1895, she began exhibiting miniatures at the LXVI Exhibition of the Society of amateurs and lovers of fine arts; in 1898, she presented painted velvet panels at the Italian and international general exhibition in Turin and, in the same year, she collaborated on a decoration inspired by oriental subjects at Calabresi Vanni Palace in Viterbo. In 1904 and 1905, Modigliani held two solo-shows in her studio in Margutta, which she shared with her sister Olga who mainly exhibited large portraits. During the same year, she designed a funeral monument for her master Vanni, who had just passed away. In the following years, her exhibition activity deepened. Established above all as a portraitist and sensitive interpreter of the world of childhood, in the years of her artistic maturity, Corinna Modigliani continued to privilege these themes, often portraying characters from the world of art and culture.
