There is a lot of action and detail presented, as the harbor is busy, likely in full summer season. The variety of boats, men working them and an abundance of rigging fill the composition. Bonnar, however, left enough of the foreground water clear to show off his skills of reflection and slight movement to the water. Full sail boats glide past in the background.
