"Being There" Original Oil Painting by Robert White, Frameless Display
Located in Encino, CA
“Being There,” an original oil on canvas by Robert K. White, is a piece for the true collector. White’s careful attention to detail and vivid use of browns and reds project from the painting, immediately capturing the viewer's attention and highlighting the artist's keen ability to capture emotion and life - all in a brushstroke. White's talent for depicting light and shadow provides the foundation for him to deliver subjects and scenes to the viewer's eye. This masterful work would make a great addition to an art collection and enhance most any home, perfect for those who have an affinity for cityscapes, theater, and architecture. In the artist’s own words, “I don’t paint what is inside of me; I paint what I see outside of me. I’m an observer. If I see something and I feel an affinity for it, something just clicks in my head. I’ll make the decision right then and there to paint that particular subject during that particular moment. It’s a perfect moment. Once something has caught my eye and I’ve heard the “perfect” click, it’s like a photograph has been taken in my mind’s eye. I only have a few days of clarity with that image. I have to start the painting quickly or else it will be gone and I will lose that image forever.” Artist: ROBERT KENNETH WHITE...

He has been living in England for over thirty years. Nearly all Salvatore Colacicco's paintings during that time have been exported to the United States and sold through Tonkins of Nantucket Island. These now adorn the walls of many a Board Room and Directors Office throughout the States. Colacicco's style of painting very much reminds one of marine artists throughout the 19th century with an obvious Italian feel. Among Colacicco's achievements were 26 panels illustrating the history and development of the paddle steamer (of which he had made a special study of those used on the Italian Lakes), painted for the Russell Cotes Museum in Bournemouth and most works by Salvatore Colacicco fetch good figures even at auction Nice back story to these pieces , We acquired them from a gentleman that went to school with the artist son in Bournemouth , His Father purchased these ones from the artist roundabout 1960 . While working as an illustrator in New York City from the late 60s through the mid 80s, his paintings appeared in many publications, including Time Magazine, Rolling Stone and Playboy. Vintage Edgartown Harbor, Martha’s Vineyard Oil Painting; James King Bonnar 1960
By James King Bonnar
Located in Baltimore, MD
This painting, by listed artist James King Bonnar (1884-1961), is a lovely scene of Edgartown Harbor, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. It dates to ca 1960, towards the end of his career. There is a lot of action and detail presented, as the harbor is busy, likely in full summer season. The variety of boats, men working them and an abundance of rigging fill the composition. Bonnar, however, left enough of the foreground water clear to show off his skills of reflection and slight movement to the water. Full sail boats glide past in the background. A hillside of Edgartown is depicted beyond, with a few of its buildings highlighted. The sky is blue with just a hint of high clouds...

Quiet Morning, Oil Painting
By Laura Browning
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
Soft, subtle colors evoking the crystal clear waters on a white sand beach. Part of Laura Browning's current Water series, in which she strives to capture the feeling of being in water. Created using many thin layers of transparent oil glazes, giving the piece great depth and movement.

About the Artist
Laura Browning is a Bay Area oil painter who is deeply inspired by all aspects of water. She paints light as it refracts off the rippled surfaces of water. Each piece captures the rhythm, movement, and feeling of water. Laura creates her aquatic scenes using many layers of transparent oil glazes and a fluid blending of color. Though her subject matter is the same, each painting has a remarkably different pattern and color palette. By studying the subtle nature of water, she works to conveys water’s intriguing versatility.
