A 1960s vintage Chanel pearl sautoir necklace attributed to Chanel (unsigned) which would have been made most likely by Maison Gripoix, Paris for the House whilst Coco Chanel was alive and heading her eponymous House. A sublime long baroque pearl sautoir . The pate de verre or poured glass pearls are weighty and lustrous and the glass paste rhondelles as a subtle edge of sparkle to this timeless, quintessential Chanel necklace. Crafted during the 1960s when many Chanel pieces were still unsigned the construction of this sautoir carries all the hallmarks of a Chanel sautoir from this period. Long and luxurious this incredible piece can be worn full length or wrapped around twice or even three times for equally fabulous yet very different looks. A stunning find and wonderful example of the Chanel craftsmanship during this era and the alluring style that is unmistakeably heritage Coco Chanel.
