Vintage ceramic or porcelain small teapot is sculpted in shape of a bird or a phoenix, with large head, long wings, rounded tail, and ornate handle on the back. The teapot features traditional blue on white Chinoiserie decor of abstract graphic motifs; the tail, tips of the wings, beak, plumage, and handle are accentuated with solid blue. The teapot is fitted with small round lid; the open beak serves as a pourer. The teapot is signed on the bottom by the artist or studio; due to the convenient size it can be used either as a milk or syrup pitcher, or as a teapot for one or two people.
