Antique early 20th century monumental large brass and glass centerpiece lamp

This monumental hanging lamp is an exceptional lighting object from the early twentieth century and originates from the Bruges region in Belgium, an area that was well known at the time for its high level of craftsmanship and metalwork. The lamp is made of copper and glass and, due to its impressive scale and rich design, has a strongly architectural presence. With a diameter of approximately 43.3 inches and a total height of about 82.7 inches including the chain, this was not a fixture intended for a modest interior, but a true statement piece, designed to dominate a large space. The body of the lamp is constructed from heavy copper with a clearly hand-worked surface. Subtle hammer marks and stylized decorative elements give the piece depth and vitality.
