There are, imposing and entirely hand-forged Gothic Revival chandelier with five magnificent dragon heads. There are chandeliers that provide light and there are chandeliers that define an entire room. This exceptional handcrafted example unquestionably belongs to the latter category. Every single element of this chandelier was forged by the hands of a highly skilled blacksmith. The heavy wrought iron bars were heated, hammered and bent into elegant scrolling forms that seem to grow naturally from the impressive central body. Looking closely, you can still see the subtle hammer marks that remind us this masterpiece was created entirely by hand. The true highlight, however, are the five beautifully sculpted dragon heads. Each arm ends in the head of a mythical beast with an open mouth supporting its original hand-forged candle plate. These remarkable details give the chandelier an unmistakable Gothic character without ever becoming overdecorated. Equally impressive are the large spiral scrolls rising from the centre. Their bold proportions and flowing lines perfectly balance the dramatic dragon heads, creating a design that is both powerful and elegant. Decorative hand-forged collars, pyramid-shaped rivets and the beautifully proportioned central sphere complete the composition. Whether suspended above a medieval dining table...
