Admani Bench by Pendhapa
Located in Geneve, CH
Admani bench by Pendhapa Dimensions: D 126 x W 45 x H 42 cm Materials: Solid black javanese teak, Hand loom Silk Weight: 60 kg The vision behind our collaboration with Helena Bajaj Larsen is one of merging and honouring aesthetic and heritage standpoints hailing from diverse global perspectives. It is the coming together of an architectural design studio and a textile fashion studio. Our collaboration is anchored in space, touch and interaction and manifests itself through both its structural and spatial qualities. Our first piece is intended as a physical object that would bring people together - a point of convergence in a circulatory space: a bench fit for a few individuals to gather, converse, observe. We designed the bench as a central piece in the spirit of dissolving the boundaries between product and architecture, fabric and surface, object and space. Pendhapa Atelier is here acting as the creative engineer behind the structure of the product. Their design for the bench is conceived as “plateau” to support and showcase the artwork and craftsmanship present in the fabric by HBL. The plateau is divided by two asymmetric arcs making the experience of the bench different from each angle. The fabric is entirely hand-painted and is made of pure handloom Indian raw silk We are Atelier Pendhapa...

Louis XV Dinning Table Set with 4 Chairs and 1 Sofa by Stephanie Odegard
Located in New York, NY
The renowned designer Paul Mathieu chose the name “Louise” when he created his more feminine version of Louis XV (1730-1760) furniture. The characteristic cabriole leg, curving outward at the knee and inward towards the foot in an "S" shape was born during this period. It is during the same era that English furniture makers produced the Queen Anne and Chippendale styles. The curved legs and side arms of this exceptionally elegant chair are hand carved from solid pieces of teak. Pattern makers trace and cut complex forms that will cover the chair in a skin of copper or purest silver (assayed at 96% purity, beyond sterling at 92.5%). The metal finishes will tarnish over time. Regular non-abrasive household metal polishes can be used to restore the original luster. Louis XV dinning table set with 4 chairs and 1 sofa in brass by Stephanie Odegard 1. Hans Wegner Peacock Chair
Located in Fort Lauderdale, FL
A PP550 ‘Peacock’ chair designed by Hans Wegner in 1947 for Johannes Hansen. Modeled after a traditional American Windsor chair, Hans Wegner’s Peacock chair strips the form to reveal its construction while retaining aesthetic, decorative impact. The chair reveals a modernist approach to designing around the human body and using natural materials, with one exception. The “rush” seat is actually made of paper cord: when the chair was first designed in 1947, shortages caused by World War II prevented Wegner from using jute. Fellow designer Finn Juhl gave the nickname of ‘Peacock,’ seeing the chair’s flattened spindles and magnificent arc resembling the bird’s plumage. Dimensions: 41 3/4 in. H × 27 1/2 in. W × 20 1/2 in. D Seat: 22 1/2 in. x 19 3/4 in. x 12 in. at back Floor to top of seat: 14 in. Top of seat to arm rest: 10 1/8 in. Seat to top head rest: 31 3/4 in. Condition: Excellent, with some minor wear throughout. Wood splits to three of the seat joints measuring 1 inch, 1/2 and 1/4 inch on either side, and 1/4 inch. Area of discoloration to arm, possibly from sticker, measuring approximately 3/4 inch. Some nicks to side of one arm. On the other arm, a scratch measuring 1 1/8 inches on the side. Literature: 40 years of Danish furniture design: 1947-1956, ed. Grete Jalk, vol. 3 (Copenhagen: Lindhardt og Ringhof, 1987), pp. 15-17.
