Original Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen Model 3103 Plywood "Hammer Chair" 1965 These chairs were originally designed 1955, these were manufactured in May 1965 Silver Fritz Hansen Makers Labels to undersides, originally designed May/1965 Price per chair, there is six chairs in stock. These iconic beech plywood ‘Hammer’ chairs were designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen in 1955. The chairs were given their name due to their hammer-like shape and are among some of the most recognised Danish design chairs that Jacobsen ever created. Arne Emil Jacobsen, Hon. FAIA 11 February 1902 – 24 March 1971 was a Danish architect and furniture designer. He is remembered for his contribution to architectural functionalism and for the worldwide success he enjoyed with simple well-designed chairs. Six chairs in the set these are stackable items.
