Made around 1760 with highest attention to details, this one of a kind museum-quality commode is not only a precious item of antique furniture, much more it is a real smart investment. The very time-consuming restoration of this masterpiece took us more than 9 weeks and has been done by our most experienced master of restoration. The ultimate goal was it to restore it the old way to keep the unbelievable charme of this valuable 18th century dresser. With an age of more than 260 years, this remarkable rare chest of drawers comes with an elegant shaped body made of spruce and poplar, elaborately set nutwood/ cherry veneer and incredible marquetry works all over this unique italian commode. Providing two large drawers, this outstanding 18th century dresser is adorned by fantastic looking, inlayed depicitions of women surrounded by extensively designed round frames made of maple, nut and plum wood. The largest depiction on the front even runs over both drawers. The top plate is an absolute highlight, impressing with this amazing worked 3D-effect frame made of fine ebony, maple and plum wood which looks like a spiral. The same design has also been used on the front of this precious chest of drawers. The second frame with a slight green shine has been additionally surrounded by thin maple threads. Other exceptional 3D effect maple inlays in form of chain links can be found on both sides of the front pilasters. This exceptional "chain" effect is reinforced by so-called "Schwarlot" paintings - a technique which confers it this special depth. Outstanding 19th century chest of drawers from the famous Biedermeier period in Vienna/ Austria around 1840. Impressing with an absolute fantastic grain, this elaborately restored commode offers four large, lockable drawers which provide a lot of storage room. The high-quality nutwood veneer has been set in an absolute beautiful manner to make it look like it is running down from top to the bottom without any interruption. In contrast to that the slightly curved pilaster strips show a horizontally veneered surface. Fantastic looking brass key blades in the shape of shields and a traditional handmade shellac polish finalize the exceptional appearance of this fine austrian Biedermeier chest of drawers...
