The brooch has been realistically modelled in the form of a 21k yellow gold hunting horn, ornamented with a central silver setting, fashioned in the form of a perched bird amongst foliate. The bird is embellished with a silver setting featuring twenty-seven pavé set Dutch cut diamonds. The eye of the bird is represented with a cabochon cut, pavé set ruby.
