John Hutton designed the Anziano to do something deceptively hard: look light, stack neatly, and still feel substantial enough to anchor a real dining table.

They were mated with some Donghia Anziano chairs around a granite table, available separately on our site.

With its combination of simplicity and ingenuity, the Anziano has become one of Donghia's emblematic pieces.

Perhaps his best-known piece is the Anziano chair. Originally designed for the American Academy in Rome, the chair has a bent-wood seat and back and metal legs.

This set of 12 chairs was produced by Donghia in the 1980s. The model Anziano was designed by John Hutton.
