1950s Japanese Owl Sculptures Brutalist Metalsmith Birds Black Iron like Noguchi

About the Item

Designed by an unknown Japanese craftsman. A pair of heavy welded bookends, minimalist in design and creation. Forged belt of thick metal bent to create a 3D abstract bird form. Some remnants of greenish and gold flack patina under dark black-iron finish. Cleaned and polished. Each Sculpture is 6 inches high and weighs 3.35 lbs.
