Ritu Sinha Art

Indian, b. 1976
Artist Statement: Through my paintings, I talk about my personal stories and contemporary human situations affected by political decisions, especially on children and women. I treat them as something to overcome and to communicate with other people. My creative process is a link between conscious and subconscious experiences. Work on paper involves an ongoing process of making and expressing. It is through putting down, cutting, pasting, colouring, manipulating, adding, layering, leaving the paper empty or drawing running stitch to create a final work of art. Usually I like to work on the waste papers which are of unusual sizes and accordingly I incorporate sequin and thread in my art which give the wings to my thoughts, as I believe that people who are the sailors of such circumstances are like thread, they can be streamed in any direction. My paintings are multi-paneled as it is the reflection of my own identity, as I have experienced my life in sections. Ritu has works collected in European museums, private collections in the States, France and India. Her work can be seen annually at LA Art Show in Gallery 1202's works on paper booth, and she had a two-person show in 2020 that featured her series, My First Day in This World.

By Marcos Raya

Located in Chicago, IL

***This artwork is currently on exhibit at the Instituto Cervantes, Chicago until September 2025. If purchased this artwork will be available to ship after September 1, 2025. Contact the gallery with questions. Raya, like every productive artist, is a collection of actions, utopias and talents. He is an acrylic painter and a muralist; an installation artist and a practitioner of the theory of the fragment as a synthesis of the whole; he is Chicano but his work has no passport; he is an obsessive self-portraitist (I, as the multiplicity locked within the I) and his an advocate of his community (in the fullest sense of the world); his is from Chicago and - being a nation onto himself - is a native of his art education; his yearns for the Tijuana of tomorrow while being a full-fledged inhabitant of the Tijuana of half a century back; he admires high-tech while being a fan of Frida Kahlo. --Carlos Monsivais Marcos Raya Dog Years oil on canvas 17h x 17w in 43.18h x 43.18w cm MSR054 Marcos Raya brings together old and new works in a variety of media that mostly explores the sociological impact of technological change. His paintings, collages and installations present an idiosyncratic hybrid of Mexican folklore...

Zahra - Figurative Original Artwork on Wood Panel Woman Colorful

Zahra - Figurative Original Artwork on Wood Panel Woman Colorful

By Eddy Lee

Located in Los Angeles, CA

Eddy Lee’s figurative surrealist portrait paintings on exposed wood depict emotive sirens who evoke a sense of mystery and seductiveness. His original artworks combine geometric elements with innocent women portraits seeking to trigger emotions, rather than communicating specific explanations. He reconciles the unconscious with rational life, exploring the power of dreams, embracing automatism, and freeing his subjects from the constraints of conscious thought. This colorful, intriguing woman portrait is painted with acrylic and gouache on a hand-built cradled wood panel. This one-of-a-kind original artwork is 24 inches high by 48 inches wide and is signed by the artist on the back. It is wired and ready to hang. It does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with this unique work. Originally from Seattle, Washington, Eddy Lee relocated to Los Angeles in late 2012 to pursue a full-time career as a fine artist. He started his career on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and quickly gained a large following across the United States with exhibitions in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. The artist’s work is inspired by the works of Audrey Kawasaki...
