An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edward VIII English sterling silver teapot in the Art Deco style; an addition to our Sheffield silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique Edward VIII sterling silver teapot has a plain rounded rectangular form. The surface of the teapot is plain and embellished with an applied tiered Art Deco motif to the upper portion of each corner. This impressive Sheffield silver teapot is fitted with a plain flush hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the original carved wood and sterling silver finial; the flush hinge indicates the high quality of this piece. The teapot has a fine and impressive C-shaped carved wood handle with a plain thumbpiece, accented with a tooled decorated border to the handpiece; the handle is fitted to cast sterling silver scrolling sockets. This fine example of antique teaware has a plain panelled swan necked spout. The silver teapot is supported by four impressive Art Deco style hoof feet. The part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.
