Over the decades we have sold a number of rare, great looking and meaningful tropical and exotic inspired light fixtures, but this sculptural table lamp is certainly one of the more unusual ones. The circular wooden body, the warm grain of the wood and the beautifully carved translucent decorative panel together create a striking and highly decorative midcentury design. The front panel shows a romantic tropical island scene with palm trees, a small boat and a sunset-like landscape. Even with the light switched off, the carved scene has a wonderful natural depth and character.
