An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Danish silver water/cordial jug made in the Art Nouveau style; an addition to our range of collectable silverware. This exceptional antique Danish silver jug has a circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot, all in the Art Nouveau style. The surface of this antique water jug has a subtle planished finish. This impressive piece is fitted with a C-shaped handle, with a bifurcating upper portion and the original carved painted wood hand piece. The spout is embellished with a vase shaped design to the nadir. The underside of the Art Nouveau jug bears the engraved initials 'A.N' and date '1927', in addition to the hallmarks. The hallmarks struck to this silver jug include: Assay mark: Three Tower Mark, 20 (Copenhagen, 1920) Assay Master Mark: CFH (Christian F. Heise) Condition This antique Art Nouveau jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The jug has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Danish hallmarks struck to the underside of the jug are all very clear. A fine and impressive, large antique cut-glass and Austro-Hungarian silver mounted lemonade/water jug; an addition to our wine and drink related collection. This exceptional antique Austro-Hungarian silver and cut glass water / lemonade silver jug has a tapering cylindrical form. The neck is fitted with a fine and impressive substantial silver hallmarked mount with the original hallmarked flat hinged cover and plain swept lobed thumb piece. The cover is further embellished with the impressive contemporary engraved initials 'SC' below a coronet. This antique cut glass lemonade jug is fitted with a plain angular S scroll handle with bracketed curved terminals. The large glass body of the jug is ornamented with a dimpled effect in addition to a star cut motif to the underside of the base. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver and cut glass claret jug has a circular rounded, globular form. The cylindrical neck is fitted with a fine and impressive plain sterling silver hallmarked mount with the original hallmarked flat hinged cover. The cover is surmounted with a simplified tri-lobed silver thumb piece. This antique claret jug is fitted with a plain angular rounded handle with scrolling upper terminal and featuring a leaf ornamentation to the lower portion. The glass body of the jug is embellished with a cut glass swirl design to either side, conjoining with undulating bands to the circumference. The body of this impressive claret jug is further ornamented with a star cut base. Condition This antique sterling silver and glass claret jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The glass is in perfect condition.
