Small sterling silver Art Deco pitcher, design #896 by Svend Weihrauch from 1938. Beautiful Art Deco design, F. Hingelberg was one of the premier silver makers in Denmark at the time, their hand craftsmanship is of the absolute highest quality. Please note the construction of the handle, it is made up of three separate silver handles which join at the bottom, giving an elegant Art Deco look. There is an example of this design in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Additional information: Material: Sterling silver Styles: Art Deco Hallmarks: With hallmark for F. Hingelberg from 1937-1944, “925 SOLV F.HINGELBERG AARHUS STERLING DENMARK 925 SOLV”, also marked with design number “896”. “Solv” is the Danish word for silver. Dimensions: The pitcher measures 6 1/4″ (16cm) in height Weight: Gross weight 14.8oz (420g). Condition: Excellent vintage condition
