Antique Gorham Silver

Gorham Aesthetic Movement mixed metal tray. The tray is made of copper and brass with applied sterling silver metal ornaments in a Japanese-inspired style.

Made for and retailed by Gorham. The silver lid decorated with a lightly pearlized, enamel scene that depicts a pair of peacocks perched in a blossoming tree branch.

It brings together two beautiful art forms; silver and crystal. The sterling was made by the Gorham Co. and the crystal was commissioned to the Hawkes Glass Co.
