Very rare and beautiful minimalist light sculpture, artisan crafted by the exclusive Galerie Oxar, Paris in 1973.
Galerie Oxar commissioned a small series of light sculptures during the early 1970s produced by artisans in very limited quantities. Each lamp in this series featured a sculptural form , chromed wire lattice structure supported on a polished stainless steel base hiding the light source (E27 screw in fitting) , the chromed wire lattice structure when lit from below creates a wonderfully complex interplay of light, reflection and shadow from a seemingly simple pure minimalist form.
These light sculptures were fabricated in various heights from small low table lamps right up to extremely tall light colums, The galerie Oxar light sculptures were published in both high end design periodicals, Casa Vogue...
