Table 1 La Che by Sebastian Herkner
Located in Geneve, CH
Table 1 La Che by Sebastian Herkner Materials: 100% Fique fibers from Furcraea leaves from Furcraea leaves. Technique: Hand-woven in Colombia. Dimensions: Diameter 47 cm x Width 31 x Height 33 cm Available in colors: black, verde, bronce, cuerda. And other sizes. The La Che Side Table honors the beautiful traditional weaving Craft of Colombia. Sebastian Herkner designed the collection after visiting Colombia and studying the weaving techniques of the local artisans. The name La Che is a reference to the Laches, an indigenous Colombian people, who used a method with the same name to create baskets. The tables are available in three sizes. The tables are made in small workshops in the Boyacá region, which is situated 2,400 meters above sea level in the Colombian Andes. This area has a long tradition of working with fibers made from the leaves of the fique plant. These fibers are wound by hand and a robust part of the fique plant is used as a frame. The dyes used have mostly natural ingredients, such as nuts, roots, and bark from trees, all native to the region. The production process is very labor-intense and requires a great deal of skill: It takes several weeks to produce one La Che table...

Royal Vienna Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Circular Side Table
Located in London, GB
Royal Vienna porcelain and gilt bronze circular side table Austrian, c. 1870 Measures: Height 84cm, diameter 56cm This circular occasional table is a truly exquisite piece of design, which will make a superb addition to either an antique or contemporary home. The table features a beautiful porcelain top, which was crafted by the Royal Vienna factory in Austria. The Royal Vienna company was founded in 1718, making it one of the earliest manufactures of true porcelain in Europe. In the 18th and 19th Centuries, the Viennese factory produced beautiful, high-quality porcelain items, which were popular with the European elite. These antique items continue to be sought-after by decorative art connoisseurs and amateur collectors. The porcelain table top features a charming painting of a young woman and man seated together in the wooden panelled interior of a house. They are dressed in traditional Austrian costume: the moustached man wears leg warmers, lederhosen, a jacket and tyrolean hat...

Contemporary Ceramic Side Tables by Manon Oller, 2022
Located in London, GB
Ceramic side tables by Manon Oller. Material: White stoneware. Dimensions: H 48 x ø 59 cm. Year: 2022. Unique pieces handmade in France, bespoke size and material upon request. These side tables take their inspiration from Mediterranean architectural research: houses carved into rocks or built up with clay. Those graphic and angular forms are naturally shaped out from elements and fit with human living. Sol sculptures are thought like caves or refuges that can be used as side tables integrating storages but also as seatings. The rough material recalls in a significant way the flawlessness of the limestone rock.

Genaro Alvarez Mosaic Glass Tile Cocktail Table Mexico, circa 1955
Located in Camden, ME
Classic glass tile mosaic coffee table from the Mexico City Studio of the noted artist Genaro Alvarez dating from the mid-1950s. There are three different compositional designs in the creation of this mosaic top. The first is the abstract pictorial of a universe of white, crème and grey surrounding a "Black Hole" with a galaxy of yellow and black swirling along its serpentine "lariat" of a double ended orbit path marked by gold tiles. The second is the consistent placement of the background tiles in concise repetitive patterns of concentric half circular arcs. The third is the placement of gold mirrored tiles adding points of sparkle over the entire surface as the intersection points of a grid, a very interesting and sophisticated addition. The integration of these three design elements adds an unexpected complexity and cohesion to the overall composition. Genaro Alvarez is recognized as one Mexico's great mid century masters of mosaic design of his era and had an international reputation and clientele with several major architectural installations here in the United States. From Don Shoemaker dot com. "One artist that was recognized for his mosaic furniture creations is Genaro Alvarez. The Genaro Alvarez Studio, (located in Mexico City) was known for its mosaic work in murals and floor designs as well as decorative furnishings such as lamps, trays and furniture using various types of natural rocks...
