Well, this is DEFINITELY the right time AND the right light to make your home feel extraordinary!! We have a fabulous table lamp by elite manufacturer Frederick Cooper to offer to you. It is large scale and comprised of a hand hammered copper urn or jug shaped body, a round black painted wood base, hand forged hammered copper and iron double handles, and a knob shaped brass finial. And it is topped with a stunning black coolie shade with an inner shade that has a black and metallic gold modeled finish. It almost gives off a bronze hue…It’s just GORGEOUS!! This table lamp is Moorish style, but it leans a bit Traditional as well. We think it will blend in beautifully in any room that needs just the right amount of elegant ambience. It’s going to be lovely on a side or end table in your sitting room, on a sofa table in your living room, or on an accent table in your bedroom. Frederick Cooper, an artist from Chicago established a studio to create gorgeous sculptures and watercolor paintings in 1923. He was also drawn to the still fairly new invention of lamps. Mixing such materials as brass, fabric, glass, and wood, he created exquisitely designed lamps that complimented the quick innovations in American architecture. The heritage continues today. They use fine materials such as brass, bronze, copper, nickel, marble, jade, and alabaster. They also create art glazed ceramics, hand decorated porcelains, and crystals. They refer to their designs and creations as “illuminated art.” Including design collaborations with Larry Laslo, Maria Buatta, Alexander Julian...

Organic Modern Cast Bronze Bowl Sculpture with Fish Design by John Forsythe
Located in Topeka, KS
Fabulous organic modern bronze fishbowl sculpture by John Forsythe comprised of cast bronze with golden bronze and green patination. Gorgeous vintage condition with no outstanding flaws that we have found. Please see photos. Circa 1993. No human being, however great, or powerful, was ever so free as a fish – John Ruskin, Picture Quotes. Just look at this magnificent cast bronze bowl sculpture with fish design created by John Forsythe. A decorative bowl comprised of a cast bronze water whirlpool with swimming fish caught in the spinning currents, their half bodies and patinated green tails distending from the swirling water and a fish tail protruding from the exterior base of the bowl. You feel the struggle of trying to stay above water and complete your journey. Surrounded by a cast bronze rim trimmed with shiny green bubbles or fish eggs as to represent salmon and their spawning. Salmon lay an enormous number of eggs because they face a lot of adversity on their journey to becoming an adult, and while we aren’t sure these fish are in fact salmon, it certainly speaks to the realities of the course of life. Overcoming hardships and struggles and new beginnings. This sculpture is unique and one of only fifty created by John Forsythe, so it is sure to be a sought-after piece for collectors. In the style of organic modern or fantasy, this piece would be gorgeous displayed on your dining table, display cabinet or buffet in the family room, or on the coffee table in the living room. John Forsythe knew at an early age that he wanted to be an artist. He graduated from Emporia State University in 1976 with his BFA and started working with metals. He was employed as manager of Oxbow Foundry and befriended Eldon Tefft, Founder of the International Sculptor Guild and Chair of the University of Kansas Art...
