Fantastic and Ficks Reed!!! This is a gorgeous large square coffee table by John Wisner for Ficks Reed. It is comprised of a stout rattan base, and it features a wonderful white tile top including four tiles with black painted Asian designs of fans and symbols… it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! This coffee table is from Ficks Reed’s Far Horizons collection by John Wisner which was introduced in 1954. It is designed with sturdy and stylish crossbars with rattan ties on the corners on all four sides of the coffee table. And the design of this awesome Campaign style coffee table is classic allowing it to work with many decor aesthetics and styles from traditional to mid-century modern. Fabulous vintage MCM or Mid-Century Modern “St. Martin Canal” and “France Port de La Rochelle” Bernard Buffet Lithograph framed and matted prints. These vintage prints are signed and dated in the printing process but do not have original pencil signatures. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. These prints remain in their original of-the-era frames, mats and backing. New brown paper has been applied to the back of frames. We found no scratches or nicks to the prints themselves. Frames may show some age. Please see photos and zoom in for details. OOOH LA LA!!!!! Is there anywhere in the world quite as lovely as the city of Paris? It’s definitely a bucket list destination for many people and we have a treat for you! Exquisite scenes of Paris created by French artist Bernard Buffet to display in your own home! We have two mid-century modern unsigned lithograph prints consisting of a larger print of a scene titled “St. Martin Canal” dated 1956, matted inside a lovely black and silver painted wood frame. And a smaller print of a scene titled “France Le Port de La Rochelle” dated 1955, matted inside a wood frame. These mats and frames are original to the prints. The St. Martin Canal is located in the heart of the city just adjacent to the Seine River and today is a popular tourist destination. Can’t you just see yourself standing upon that bridge with the breeze blowing your hair as you gaze upon the beautiful “City of Lights??” Or maybe you would prefer walking along the harbor watching boats come to port as they sail in off of the Atlantic Ocean? That’s exactly what you can imagine as you gaze upon “France Le Port de La Rochelle!” La Rochelle is a city on the west coast of France and a seaport on the Bay of Biscay. Both of these scenic areas are breathtaking, and Buffet captured their beauty with his proficient Expressionist style!!! They are going to be wonderful on any wall and they’re sure to bring a bit of French fabulous-ness into your home!

Oh, my goodness! Just look at this fabulous modern console table. Or is it a credenza? No matter what you call it you must call it phenomenal. Comprised of a plexiglass clad construction with a stepped base in glossy black which has two openings that could be originally for speakers but here in the shop we have filled them with books. I could also see them showing off great objects’ d’art. The base is topped with a thick teal plexiglass clad top. The overall look is absolutely stunning! I can’t help thinking of Michael Graves’ designs...

Handsome Mid-Century Modern love seat length sofa in black vinyl faux leather upholstery and walnut base in the style of Wormley for Dunbar or Harvey Probber. It is in wonderful vintage condition. We believe the black vinyl to be fairly new. The walnut base does have age appropriate little nicks and dings. Please see photos, circa 1960s.
It is hard to say who designed and produced this fabulously gorgeous and simple streamline Mid-Century Modern style sofa first. Was is Edward Wormley for Dunbar? Was it Harvey Probber or Florence Knoll? Or, did Taylor Chair Company, the maker of this particular love seat, actually make their rendition first? Does it matter? You will love the lines and materials used in this two-seat love seat Lawson shape sofa with a tight back and two loose seat cushions. It is covered in a very nice and natural looking black faux leather vinyl. So close to the real thing its is hard to tell the difference. And sets on a walnut Parsons’ style base. Simple but very handsome.
Taylor Chair Company was founded by Benjamin Fitch in 1816 Bedford, Ohio. He originally made split-bottom chairs in his cabin. In 1841 one of Mr. Fitch’s employees, William O. Taylor, married Mr. Fitch’s daughter. William quickly took over active management of the company and by late 1940s the company became known as W.O. Taylor Factory. After a fire in the original location the factory moved. In 1871 W.O. Taylor’s son, Vincent A. Taylor, took the helm and the name was changed to W.O. Gorgeous Art Deco Revival tessellated marble with brass inlay accent strips, low console table and mirror, or it could be a coffee table and separate mirror, in the style of Maitland Smith. Excellent vintage condition. There is a tiny chip on the underside of one foot that has been repaired. There are several repairs to the marble that was done nicely and looks like age-appropriate patina. These are vintage, not new, so will have signs of use. Please see photos. Circa 1980-1990’s.
Dramatic, bold, unique, and extraordinary…just a few words we can think of to describe this impressive set of bench/table and mirror. Their style is a gorgeous art deco revival but can have a little Hollywood Regency flair. They are comprised of tessellated marble in a creamy off-white with jet black detail. The highlights of this table or bench are its incredible scrolled legs, which are reminiscent of an Ionic Roman column, and the marble tessellation in the shape of banana palm fronds. It is nothing short of spectacular. And then you are presented with its matching incredible wall mirror which is framed by the same creamy off-white and black tessellated marble banana palm fronds that surrounding the mirror glass…. GORGEOUS!!!!! Making the pair simply breathtaking! Although unmarked, this set is like designs by Maitland Smith or Oggetti Designs; however, our research has not revealed the exact piece, but it is made with the same high quality and attention to detail. Plus, its versatility is awesome. There are so many ways to utilize this amazing set…you could use it as a low table and dress it with a large floral arrangement maybe a sculpture or it would be a fabulous bench with a couple of throw pillows against a wall, and the mirror hanging above. Of course, they do not have to stay together. Split them up and use the table/bench as your coffee table then hang the mirror in the hall. This pair is also perfect for a fitting room in a boutique or a dressing bench...
