1970s Large Scale Molded Resin Boxer Dog Statue / Sculpture Style of Marwal Ind

About the Item

Handsome vintage Marwal Industries style large scale molded resin boxer dog statue or sculpture. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. circa, 1970s. NOTE: Cute black and white dog depicted in some of the photos is for your viewing pleasure only and not included in the sale!! lol Well, it’s happened… We’ve finally Gone to the DOGS!! Well, actually one has come to us! And what a handsome pooch he is!! We would love to keep him but between our Mini, Pip, Zara, (and not to mention the other “animals” in this shop! LOL!!!!! Just kidding guys!) we feel he will get more attention in a new home! This is a great vintage Marwal Industries style large scale molded resin boxer statue or sculpture. He is marvelously sculpted with a muscular build sitting in an upright attentive position with intricate realistic details from the tip of his perky, pointed ears down to his wonderful wrinkles, flared nostrils, droopy eyebrows, and trimmed toenails. His body is light brown with an off-white or cream colored chest, and a dark chocolate brown face. He doesn’t shed, he doesn’t bark, and He. Is. GORGEOUS!!! It is modern in style and the EPITOME of 1970s design, but it will blend beautifully with almost ANY décor. It would be wonderful in a maximalist setting, “standing watch” while displayed in an entry way, soaking up the warmth beside the fireplace in the study, or in the family room “guarding” the game cabinet. This guy is so “dog-gone” handsome; he’s going to be “ruff” to let go of. Don’t miss out on your chance to re-home this well-behaved, (and obviously potty trained! HaHa!) fabulous replica of man’s best Boxer friend or you’ll definitely be “in the doghouse!” … Just make him YOURS!!! • Old Ecclesiastical Religious Art Sacred Heart of Jesus Plaster Statue Sculpture
    Located in Topeka, KS
Glorious Late 19th to Early 20th Century Ecclesiastical Religious Art Sacred Heart of Jesus plaster statue sculpture upon a gilded wood base. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, his hands only had the wire structure so new hand-molded & crafted hands were created by our professional craftsmen and the wood on the base was bad so it has been given a new gilded wood base. He has many chips in the plaster that have been repaired and the whole statue has been shellacked. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 19th – Early 20th Century. Heaven knows we could all use a little more Jesus in our lives!! Well, your prayers have just been answered!!! This is an absolutely magnificent Ecclesiastical Religious Art plaster statue of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. He is comprised of hand sculpted and hand painted plaster and he stands about 43 inches tall upon a square flat edge gilded wood base. He has handsome, realistic, intricately hand painted facial features, and his glorious dark brown shoulder length hair drapes gracefully upon his shoulders. He wears a lovely, flowing robe featuring the Sacred Heart symbol upon his chest and his beautiful bare feet are exposed at the base of his robe. His enticing hands are open and reaching out as if to welcome you into his arms. The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is one of the most widely practiced Catholic Faith devotions wherein the heart of Jesus Christ is viewed as a symbol of “God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind.” The Sacred Heart is depicted as a flaming heart shining from behind with divine light, pierced by the lance with a bleeding wound, and encircled by the crown of thorns. And Christian faith depicts it more as a flaming heart, while the wounds and crown of thorns allude to the manner of Christ’s passion and the flames a furnace of ardent love. You can depict it how you choose! We believe that his original home was most likely a wonderful old church where he was admired for many years. Due to his materials, he should only be exhibited indoors…. Which is exactly where we all need the Lord to be anyway… on the inside!!! He will be absolutely divine in your entry way or heavenly in a sunroom surrounded by indoor foliage or faux plants & trees. He has an all-over “perfectly imperfect” aged patina, a few “character enhancing” chips that you would expect given his vintage age, and an angelic aura...

Gorgeous modern series of four geometrical dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere, unsigned but easily documented online. Comprised of steel, brass, and copper. Circa, late 20th – early 21st century. Oh yeah… it’s hip to be square!! And in this case, that is definitely true!! This is an awesome series of four-square dimensional mixed metal wall sculptures by C. Jere displaying various unique and abstract geometric designs comprised of steel, brass, and copper arranged in the center of each metal square. C. Jere (a.k.a.) Curtis Jere is not a single artist but is a nom-de-plume for a group of artists working for Artisan House and well known for their phenomenal jewelry, metal sculptures, and collectibles. This series of four is a MUST have for any wall that needs a bold statement piece, touch of Modern style, or simply an intriguing, phenomenal piece of artwork! Position them to your preference and change any wall from being bland, to BOOM! They would be wonderful side by side in a row of four however, I envision them stacked one on top of the other in a large square. Maybe over a fireplace, on a wall in a tall entry way, or on a primary wall in your living room. If you’ve been looking for the right touch of Modern or Industrial edge to welcome into your home… you just found it! Artisan House artists included founders Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels and Curtis Jere is a combination of their names. During the mid-20th century, the C. Jere sculptures, and metal work were distributed by Raymor, a well-known name in mid century collectibles, and sold at Gump’s in San Francisco and other upscale retail establishments.
