Marvelous Mid-20th Century Italian Renaissance gilded sunburst with convex center mirror wall hanging or décor by Palladio. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. No outstanding flaw detected. This is an incredible vintage Italian Renaissance gilded sunburst comprised of a convex mirror in the center surrounded by a circular band resembling a vine or a rope and hand carved, gilded sunrays bearing multilayered rays bursting from the center creating incredible sculptural depth. This stunning decorative wall hanging motif will invigorate any wall in your home and is nothing short of MAGNIFIQUE!!!!! It is fairly large bearing a circumference of about 24” and it has an all-over captivating patinated exterior with red undertones peeking through the gilded finish. It would be wonderful over a mantel, in an entry or hallway, or as a focal point in any room. It has a serene, majestic presence and bursts with Italian Renaissance style and a bit of Neoclassic and Hollywood Regency flair. Surely you’ve fallen in love.
