Casa Bique’s items are purported to have been manufactured in the same factory as Maitland Smith, so you know it of the highest quality. Just look at the gorgeous curves on this beauty! Robert Marcius was born in Greenville, Mississippi and he began designing and producing sculptures, jewelry, and objects d’art when he moved to New Hope, Pennsylvania in 1972. He formed a partnership with Gene Jonson, and they formed “Jonson and Marcius” and moved their business to Manhattan. During this time, he supplied Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, and Bloomingdale's with jewelry and Karl Springer with accessories, furniture, and sculptures. After seeking out Jonson and Marcius in 1975, Lorin Marsh launched their business of an original and unique line of furniture and accessories. Cartier and Tiffany also featured items manufactured by Jonson and Marcius. During the 1980’s Marcius sold his partnership and moved his operations to North Carolina where he designed the product and direction for Casa Bique Ltd. until the early 90’s. For 4 decades he has developed and designed for such clients as Frederick Ramond, Garcia Imports, Casa Stradivari, Thomasville, Lane, Kinder- Harris, The Platt Collections, and many others. Oh. My. Goodness!!!! Look at this absolutely gorgeous Greek Revival style dining table attributed to Bernhardt!!! The base is comprised of three octagon shaped columns with a gray & black marbleized technique covered with laminate and a black painted inverted crown molding around the base of each column. The glass top is an elongated octagon shape or a rectangle with angled corners and beautiful, beveled edges. Know what’s better than an exceptional oak end table with a cane and glass top? two of them!!!! That’s right, this is a wonderful pair of oak modern to post-modern end tables with caning under the glass insert tops. They have recessed pedestal bases, horizontal trim strips around their center, and stunning wood grain! We have been told they are in the style of Lou Hodges, but we haven’t found any proof to substantiate that claim. This end table is much like “that little black dress,” it just works!!! Simple, classic, and timeless!! This is a GORGEOUS rosewood square occasional or end table by Knud Joos for Jason Mobler. Just take another look at the FABULOUS woodgrain on the SOLID rosewood tabletop!! It is stamped under the tabletop however… the black ink stamp has faded and is barely noticeable. Gorgeous modern chrome and white marble coffee or cocktail table which is attributed to The Pace Collection with Leon Rosen as the designer. This table is not marked but all sizes and materials point to this attribution. It is in wonderful vintage condition. There are small signs of age as would be expected including chips and scratches to the marble. One piece of marble has been repaired. None of this detracts from its overall beauty. Please see photos.
