Out of his wartime experiences and his observations of chaotic postwar Germany grew a series of drawings savagely attacking militarism, war profiteering, the gulf between rich and poor, social decadence, and Nazism. In drawing collections such as The Face of the Ruling Class (1921) and Ecce Homo (1922), Grosz depicts fat Junkers, greedy capitalists, smug bourgeoisie, drinkers, and lechers—as well as hollow-faced factory labourers, the poor, and the unemployed. In this project, Vladimir Clavijo-Telepnev draws a line between sensuality and explicit sexuality in depicting a woman's body. Modern photography offers two main approaches to the subject: a provocative sexuality and an impassive perception of a plastic form. As a matter of fact, aggressive approaches are increasingly predominant in taking photos of a naked body. For example, paparazzi are keen to shoot women with a candid camera in bed, bathrooms, etc.
Characteristically, Vladimir rejects using bright colors and deliberately limits himself in methods of expression. All the characters are shot sitting back to the viewer, and the sensual message is conveyed through fine outlines, plasticity of a woman's body and definite parts of the background.
In the Film Divas project, the portraits are given in the form of a definite film symbol, while Sensuality is a sort of a poster imbued with sensuality. In his portraits Vladimir uses still life elements, which are helpful in revealing the objects: a woman's back, a child sitting next to her, flowers, a hand with a string of pearls on an opened book, a branch of winter berries against the background of home-made open-work fabric.

This etching is after a painting from 1554 by Dutch artist Anthonis Mor (c. 1517-1577). Comes with its original tissue cover sleeve.
This etching was published by Gazette des Beaux-Arts. The Gazette des Beaux-Arts was a French art review, found in 1859 by Édouard Houssaye, with Charles Blanc as its first chief editor. Assia Visson Rubinstein was chief editor under the direction of George Wildenstein from 1928 until 1960. Her papers, which include all editions of the Gazette from this period, are intact at the Cantonal and University Library of Lausanne in Dorigny. The Gazette was a world reference work on art history for nearly 100 years - one other editor in chief, from 1955 to 1987, was Jean Adhémar. It was bought in 1928 by the Wildenstein family, whose last representative was Daniel Wildenstein, its director from 1963 until his death in 2001. The review closed in 2002.
