Jean Jannel was born in Paris on April 20, 1894. He was a pupil of Luc Olivier Merson at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris and exhibited at the Salons des Artistes Français and Salons des Indépendants. Painter of femininity, his wife was his exclusive model.
