A very elegant 19th century antique French Sèvres cobalt blue porcelain & ormolu mounted urn shaped eight day mantel clock circa 1875, the clock stamped "Japy Frères", the porcelain hand-painted and signed by Georges Emile Poitevin (1820-1886). The body having a classic baluster urn shaped body, finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze and highlighted with intricate gilded scrolling borders. The clock with hand-painted Panels, the panel to the front with a courting couple in 18th century dress and to the rear an architectural scene with a staircase and an arched bridge, the clock is signed "G.
