A Unique Silver and Wedgewood Jasperware Torah Pointer made by Daniel Blumberg in Pennsylvania in 1959. Most Torah pointers are usually made with a single constant metal. While there are some exceptions where two materials are mixed to make a unique item, this is the first time we have seen a Torah pointer made with Silver and inlaid Wedgewood Jasperware. Continental, 19th century Dimensions: Height 2cm, diameter 32.5cm Beautifully crafted from steel with gold and silver damascening, this fine 19th century plate is profusely decorated with scrolling arabesque detailing. Around the rim of the plate, scrolling foliate vines and flowers are interspersed with four grotesque masks. This beautiful quality and marvelous design tile serving tray is another one of our recent decorative finds and an absolute joy to own and to look at. We have recently listed on 1stdibs one of the largest, single tile serving trays and this is a similar, but smaller one. This fine specimen too is antique, hand-crafted AND hand-painted and this tile could not be in better condition also. There are absolutely no cracks in the porcelain tile and the glazed surface made sure that the hand painted colorful flowers with some insects and the stunning branch and leafs patterns have not faded at all.
