However, what takes this rare size chandelier to a level of its own are the scrolling leaf and flower patterns that are deeply and sharply hand carved all around the body. This level of workmanship was rare, even in the early 1900s and since this light would have cost a small fortune in those days, you can rest assure that only the best artisan would have been allowed to do these (exceptional) carvings.
The original rope hanging to this monumental chandelier was 'shot' and we replaced it with bronzed chain that perfectly complements the entire look and feel of this majestic pendant. Combined with the large, original and height adjustable alabaster canopy this rare light can be used and enjoyed in all kinds of interiors and in all kinds of living spaces. For it to still be in this very good condition after more than 100 years is like an ode to the craftsmanship of early 1900 artisans in Europe. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this chandelier in general and the one of a kind, supersize shade in particular.
