About the Item

Gufram pulls back from the world of design. It declares it and turns the page – with a tombstone. Since the time has come to call it quits because of the many mudslinger that have always condemned Gufram’s anti-design soul, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpalo Ferrari celebrate the funeral rites. Thus toiletpaper writes Gufram’s epitaph, and, as an act of final resistance, creates a tombstone that can be used as a seat with a grotesque irony. Limited edition 1/1000. Production lead times are often flexible and stock levels vary. Please inquire for current availability. Materials: Seat of soft polyurethane, finished and decorated with Guflac. Dimensions: 36 x 22 x 60 cm. *NB. LANDED PRICE USA, shipments details to enquire

GUFRAM Mozza Stool & Chair by Giuseppe Raimondi
By Gufram Furniture, Giuseppe Raimondi
Located in La Morra, Cuneo
Designed in 1968 by Giuseppe Raimondi, Mozza maintains the same vibrant revolutionary appeal and ability to adapt to countless living needs. Rendered in its present edition in a sexier and slimmer form, Mozza is an upturned truncated and athwart-cut cone on which it would seem impossible to sit. By lying back on its sloping surface of sort polyurethane, though, its structure gives in to body weight until it acquires the shape of a chair with back- and armrests. It's simple but original structural magic that makes it one of a kind. Mozza's external mass misleads you. Thanks to its lightness, this seat becomes a nomadic and versatile object in the living landscape. The primary seat for the sitting-room at home or the perfect service armchair in the sophisticated and elegant halls of design hotels, Mozza combines the international contemporary style with the characters of the Italian radical design, highlighted by the variety of its contemporary and pop upholstery colours. It was designed by the first Artistic Director of the brand – Giuseppe Raimondi. 3. Mozza's sloping plane becomes soft when weight is set on it, and it allows you to comfortably sink in it. 4. Opinion Ciatti Tab.u Small Stool
By Bruno Rainaldi, Opinion Ciatti
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Take a wooden frame, cover it in aluminium and then work its surface, ""scrunch” it by hand to achieve a crimpled profile. This is the process at the core of the Tab.u Collection, stools and tables with absolutely distinctive lines. The low Tab.u stool, the firstborn in the family, is a really versatile object. It is perfect in any environment and for all uses: around the table for an unexpected guest, in the bathroom to rest objects or towels, in the living room when there is no more room on the sofa or in the bedroom instead of the usual bedside table. Its elder brother, Big Tab.u is a traditional tall bar stool. It is stunning around a counter or a kitchen island, both at home or in the most glamorous clubs. The family is complete with the addition of the Tab.u Mirror and the Tab.u Lamp...
