Maurice Villency began designing in the 1950’s at his own furniture loft in Greenwich Village, New York. Handsome set of 6 Goodform mid-century machine age and industrial style aluminum armchairs by General Fireproofing Company. Comprised of anodized slightly gold colored aluminum frames and upholstered in a woven beige fabric. They are in wonderful vintage condition overall. The aluminum has been cleaned and gone over gently with steel wool and the fabric has been professionally cleaned. That does not mean they are free from signs of age but have a nice patina. You may wish to recover. The aluminum coloration ranges from silver to gold and is individual on each chair. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Holy cow! We are in love with these awesome Goodform chairs by General Fireproofing!! We have six and they are comprised of anodized brushed aluminum frames and bare a blend of machine age, industrial, mid-century styles. They are anodized a lovely gold color… You heard that right… Gold! Or kind-of “gliver.” A little silvery with a gold tone. Not sure exactly how to describe it, but it’s fabulous!! Two of the chairs are slightly darker gold with less silver and a little extra detail including a V-shaped overlay detail of aluminum on the front curve of the arms, so you can use those two as host and hostess chairs. Currently they are upholstered in a wool-like woven beige fabric, but we don’t think its original; however, it is in good condition and ready to use for a while but…. Wow! Would they ever look fantastic in new leather, vinyl, or maybe mohair! They have a slightly rolled seat back which is a cool detail, the arms are partially upholstered for comfort, and their stretchers and cross bars enhance their industrial look and make them sturdy enough to stand up to a family of toddlers, teenagers, or…elephants whichever you have! Ha Ha!!!

Specifically, this set includes various styles, ages, and conditions including some pieces with no chips to pieces with some or several chips, nicks, or chiggers. Tableware EXTRORDINAIRE!!!!! If you know Rose Medallion, you know what a GEM of a collection THIS IS!!!!! And if you are unfamiliar or new to its glorious existence, you are certainly in for a tableware TREAT!!! This is a phenomenal collection including FIFTY-SIX various hand painted Rose Medallion pieces and 5 lids equaling 61 pieces total! This style of Chinese porcelain was first made in the mid-1800s to satisfy the export demand from Europe and later the United States. These pieces vary in age as early as several Antique 1850’s pieces expanding into some 1970’s vintage pieces. There are various styles, all glossy and highly colorful depicting scenes featuring medallions, vibrant flowers, vivid birds, people, figures, leaves and trees, and Chinese scenes. Enigma definition: A person, object, or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand. This cupboard is just that… definitely puzzling and mysterious!! And I sure wish it could talk because I bet it has some GREAT stories to share!! Something tells me it’s seen a few things and has had quite an interesting history. It is a one-piece cabinet comprised of oak with a top and bottom section and an open center section. The doors have carvings with (what we believe are) dates back to the 1600’s. The door fronts remind me of vintage livery cupboards… they are nostalgic and quite mystifying!! We don’t believe the whole cupboard is quite the same age, hence, more mystery! We believe the body or frame of the cupboard is Early 1900’s, possibly earlier, and was made from reclaimed lumber or someone possibly took pieces of an old cabinet and repurposed it. The top section is constructed with mortise & tenon joints (no nails!), the inner top & base cabinets each enclose a single adjustable wood shelf with aged wood peg brackets, and stepped siderails or shelf supports. Both the top and lower door fronts bear enigmatic brass armoire hinges...

Incredible impressionist style painting on hardboard of children on horseback signed Brooks Woollcott (now Powell). It is in good original condition with its original black painted wood frame. We have stabilized the frame and added a new coat of paint, circa 1940-1960s.
This original impressionistic painting has the most extraordinary color pallet from pink to coral, turquoise to blue, green to chartreuse, and bright yellow with touches of black. It depicts two children, seemingly a girl and boy, on horseback. It is done in the style of Chagall with a little Picasso and Matisse thrown in. Gorgeous modern chrome and white marble coffee or cocktail table which is attributed to The Pace Collection with Leon Rosen as the designer. This table is not marked but all sizes and materials point to this attribution. It is in wonderful vintage condition. There are small signs of age as would be expected including chips and scratches to the marble. One piece of marble has been repaired. None of this detracts from its overall beauty. Please see photos.
