The field is a traditional fret ground. The fret and the wan border are auspicious symbols which represents continuing regeneration or eternity.

The deep indigo field is decorated with game birds and peony sprigs and branches of tree peonies enclosed by a floral spandrel border.

Beautifully drawn clouds float on a blue field. The field is edged in guard bands and archaic clouds.

Archaic dragon rondels are enclosed by four lotus with spandrels. The rug has a nicely drawn lotus and spandrel border.
