This hand-loomed Tibetan wool blanket is a rare vintage piece. Its thick pile would have been used for sleeping on or under during the cold nights in the Himalayas.

Older are all wool, later with cotton wefts. A few large carpets. Shaggy runners and seating rugs.  Large, often monochrome, carpets are now woven in Nepal by Tibetan refugees.
