This great mantel in made in stoneware and oak was designed 20th century by the Maison Gentil et Bourdet. The fireplace is framed by a strong sandstone decorated with large Egyptian beetles in high relief and a leafy motif. Above the shelf, on the overmantel is a large and beautiful finial. On each sides of the floral medallion, a knotted rope pattern extends down the sides of the entablature. The overmantel shape is reaching to an Egyptian-inspired pyramid and is decorated with a plain sandstone tile front.
